The Overrides view allows certain aspects of employee information to be changed from defaults, or information entered in the Payroll view.
Overrides possible here are:

Override default display name (Base Position + First Initial + Surname)

Contract details and Actual Position (when covering leave, for example)

Hours worked
Actual Hours and Actual Position are used by the optimiser if entered. In the case of overrides, Base Hours and Base Position are used by reports.
