Availability
The Availability view allows the user to enter shift preferences (for permanent staff) and availability (for casual staff). Preferences for permanent staff are considered by the optimiser but will not always be granted. Items entered in the Requests view are considered as firm constraints which will always be honoured.
Availability for casual staff will be honoured by the optimiser if it is configured to roster casual staff.
For casual staff, "O" should be entered for all days on which they are unavailable. For permanent staff, days where there are no stated preferences should be left blank.
If unavailability is on a weekly basis, that can be better captured via Staff Days (whether Casual or not)
