New Features

New UI

The look of Daitum has been refreshed.

Colours are used to indicate Open (dark blue) and Close (yellow) shifts on the main roster page.

Planned Attendance Totals

A total has been added to the planned attendance count of each day so it’s easy to check the total number of children in the centre on each day.

Compliance indicator

An indicator above the roster now displays to let you know whether the roster is fully compliant and within quota.

OR

Payroll column

A new field has been added for part-time staff which allows you to set the maximum number of hours in the week that an employee should be rostered.
This offers some flexibility with part-time staff.
When Maximum Hours are entered, the contracted hours then becomes the minimum number of hours the person will be rostered.

Note: Any entries in this column would be ignored for casual staff

Roster Hour totals

Totals display on the main Roster page and let you know how many hours were rostered for each person (Total column) as well as how many they should have been rostered on for, as per their contracted hours (Target column).

Shift Length Hour totals

When entering custom shift lengths for staff, a totals column displays showing the number of hours the shift lengths will mean for that person. A red total means that the person will not receive their contracted hours.

Compliance view

A new view shows more details of any compliance issues that the centre manager should be aware of.

Validation

When a person is entered twice on the roster order, they will be highlighted in red.

In the payroll view, if two staff members have the same employee code, that is highlighted in red

Or if an employee code is missing it is highlighted

On the roster, if an invalid or non-Monday date is entered, it will be displayed in red.

Shading

On the Staff Availability and Shift Lengths, days are shaded so it’s easy to see which days a person doesn’t work.

Configurable Non-Contact roles

Role names of non-contact staff such as Assistant Centre Manager are now configurable. This will match the names used at your centre. For example, ACM vs Assistant Centre Manager.

This will ensure that these roles get the correct amount of contact and non-contact time allocated to them.

KPI details

A further break down of the details of hours rostered has been added into the KPI view.

Bug fixes:

  • Staff latest finish time was not being respected for casual staff members.

  • All staff including centre managers and other non-contact staff are now being counted towards minimum staffing numbers.

  • Shift times were sometimes being displayed for staff on leave, due to template highlighting.

  • Multiple leave entries for staff members are now catered for e.g. Having a Monday and a Wednesday off in the same week.
