February 2024
The February 2024 release brings the 4 big changes based on customer requests.
New Features
Consistency of Shifts
Some Centres prefer to give their staff the same shift start time, or the same room every day of the week. We have a new feature that allows exactly that. Centre managers can now specify which employees should have consistent shifts (times, rooms or both) and Daitum will create a roster that suits. Those without a consistent shift time will be used to fill the rest of the roster as required.

Working with Childrens Validation
Daitum now supports preventing shifts being rostered if a Working with Childrens certification is not valid. This new feature can be enabled if the relevant information is stored in an integrated system but can also be managed manually in Daitum. If you want to activate this feature email us at support@daitum.com
Support for Paid Breaks
Some organisations have a combined and partially paid, partially unpaid break. Daitum now supports configuring a centre for the default paid break portion as well as specifying the paid break portion at the employee level. If you want to activate this feature email us at support@daitum.com
Manual Rostering of non-contact roles
Currently certain roles can be identified as non-contact and the number of contact hours the role should work can be set. We have now made this a configuration option so that the automatic creation of contact shifts can be disabled. When disabled Daitum will ‘prefer' all employees to work in contact rooms if they have a contact room configured. Non-contact time required can be achieved by adding 'other duties’ for the hours required, or to set the employee to only non-contact rooms. If you want to activate this feature email us at support@daitum.com
Bug fixes:
Fixed an issue where some staff could be assigned too many non-contact hours when they work a mix of contact and non-contact shifts.
Fixed an issue where one or more spaces after an employee's role would cause incorrect non-contact hours to be rostered.
Fixed an issue with baseline rosters where staff who were on leave could be given too many non-contact hours.
Fixed an issue where some staff couldn't be added to the roster for centres with more than 80 staff in Payroll.
