The April 2023 release brings the Beta version of our ‘Fixed Shifts’ functionality and contains several bug fixes.
New Features
Beta release of “Fixed Shifts” feature
We are trialling a feature where you can choose to ‘lock in' specific shifts in the roster. This is useful if you optimise your roster and then want to keep those shifts for a period of time before you 'reoptimise’ everyone again.
We are trialling the functionality with a limited number of centres before we provided it for general availability.
Additional blank rows on Leave and Payroll
To help adding in data manually, we’ve reserved a few extra blank rows on the leave and payroll screens
Removed Totals from Shift Lengths view
The totals were provided on this screen as a guide (not a calculation) when entering shift lengths, so that obvious errors were detected. We’ve found it causes more confusion than it does help, so we have taken the fields away.
Bug fixes:
-
We have tweaked the Leave import process to reduce the chances of incomplete data being imported.
-
Fixed an issue where casuals might be preferred over full-time staff as part of baseline roster generation.
-
Fixed an issue where staff might be given too few shifts if rostering them on would break the qualification ratio requirement.
-
Fixed an issue where leave shifts were created on days where staff are unavailable.
-
Fixed an issue where staff with availability or shift lengths not in 15 minute intervals would always be rostered on for open shifts.
